What are the rules for naming my fund?
You can name the fund after yourself or your family — subject to a few rules and staff approval.
You can name the fund after yourself, your family, or use a general descriptive name. A few restrictions apply:
- You cannot use another person's name without their permission.
- Terms like "trust" or "foundation" are not permitted unless they are part of your legal name.
- Duplicate fund names are not allowed.
- All fund names are subject to approval by CFSEM staff.
