How do I know if I’m a Reapply or a Renewal scholarship applicant?
-
Some of the Community Foundation’s scholarships allow for:
-
Renewals: one or more years of additional funding, provided you still meet the criteria;
-
Or, Reapplies: applying again in a future year and being considered again for that specific scholarship, along with all other applicants who meet the criteria.
-
-
If you received either a Reapply or a Renewal scholarship, the Community Foundation will reach out at the start of the next scholarship application period to inform you. You will receive an email that indicates your Reapply or Renewal application has been started for you. In your Scholarship Portal, there will be a button on the home page that says “Complete Reapply” or “Complete Renewal”. Your Application page will also display the draft(s) of the application(s).
-
If you were awarded more than one Renewal scholarships, you will have more than one Renewal application to complete. The same information may be provided on each Renewal.
-
Renewal applications are much shorter than the Reapply or general applications, to make the award process easier for you. However, if you would like to be considered for other scholarships at the Community Foundation, you must also submit a general scholarship application.

-
If you were awarded more than one Reapply scholarship, you will only have one Reapply application in the Portal. One Reapply application will allow you to be considered for all potential Reapplies and any other scholarships for which you meet the criteria. You do NOT need to submit a general scholarship application.
-
You may also have a Reapply and one or more Renewals, if you received more than one award from the Community Foundation last year.
