How do I give to the Community Foundation with a donor advised fund?

If your DAF is at the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan:

  1.  Log in to MyCF.
  2. Select “Recommend a Grant”.
  3. In the Recipient Selection menu select “Fund Held at CFSEM”.
  4. Some of our most common Funds will pre-populate, or you can type in the name of the fund you wish to support.
  5. Continue to follow prompts until your grant recommendation is complete.

If your DAF is at another institution

  • You can recommend a grant to the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, for the purpose of supporting general operations or to support a specific fund
  • The Community Foundation’s EIN is 38-2530980
