Can we take additional money out of the fund for a financial emergency?

No. Once gifts are contributed to the endowment fund, we do not allow nonprofit endowment partners to withdraw more than the annual amount that is considered “available to grant”.

The Community Foundation is required to uphold the original intentions of the donors, and our policies do not allow for invading the principal of the fund.
